NOTICE TO MARINERS NO. 3/01
River Severn – Oldbury Power Station – Cooling Water Reservoir
Mariners are advised that navigation is prohibited to all vessels unless specifically authorised by Gloucester Harbour Trustees, BNFL Magnox (Oldbury) or in the case of an emergency within the restricted area bounded by the wall of the tidal reservoir and encompassed by a line joining the following positions:-
From the shore at 51º 38’.45N 2º 34’.56W, thence to 51º 39’.28N 2º 35’.23W, thence to 51º 39’.50N 2º 35’.10W, thence to 51º 39’.72N 2º 34’.07W, thence to the shore at 51º 39’.70N 2º 33’.75W.
Positions are referred to the WGS84 compatible datum.
Reference should be made to British Admiralty Chart 1166.
Notice to Mariners No. 1/98 is hereby cancelled.
Owners, Agents and Charterers should ensure that the contents of this Notice are made known to the Masters or persons in charge of their vessels or craft.
