Mariners are advised that sluices located in the dam of the Old Dock Entrance in position 51º 43’.52N, 2º 28’.91W operate automatically and are liable to open at any time without warning.

It is therefore inadvisable for small craft to use the Old Dock Entrance as a boarding or landing point, or as a refuge.

Positions are referred to the WGS84 compatible datum.

Reference should be made to British Admiralty Chart 1166.

Owners, Agents and Charterers should ensure that the contents of this Notice are made known to the Masters or persons in charge of their vessels or craft.
